Background:
Nick first realised he was into music at the age of 8 years old and was bought his first guitar (a Spanish acoustic) by his parents, after 4 years the guitar faded. A few years on, after watching Queen on television Nick's bass dreams awoke.
Having been interested in the way John Deacon played Nick was quick to purchase a bass guitar and take up lessons from a local teacher.
After 8 years of learning the art of bass guitar along to music cds and videos at home, Nick got his first big break – playing in a live band. The band in question was a local indie rock band, hailing from Knowle, West Midlands, and they were quick to snap up Nick following a short audition. During his time playing with Blue Nation, the band recorded a 3 track demo and played gigs around Birmingham – most noteably at The Jug of Ale, Moseley. It was shortly after their last gig at the jug of ale that Nick decided to split from Blue Nation to enhance his bass playing ability and see what other bands were out there to join.
In 2001 nick left his full time job to sign up on a 2 year music course at Access to Music College in Birmingham. This course taught up and coming musicans the art of composition and performance.
