We would like to say thank you for taking an interest in the band.
Here is just a small part of Satori's history. The band was formed in March 2004 by Steve Withe (Former Lead Vocals) and Rob Mills (Lead Guitar) after a chance meeting.
Shortly after forming the band Dean Lomas (Drums) joined, then Tim Maurizio Polidori (Piano), Nick Brown (Bass) and David Wing (Rhythm Guitar).
The band was formed to play a charity tour mainly playing covers. Then they started to write and play their own music,
from this they produced their first demo which has been a big hit with the fans.
The band won the first two legs of the Emergenza battle of the bands with outright votes from judges and audiences going forward to the regional finals at The Carling Academy, Dale End, Birmingham, on 3rd July 2005.
At these finals the first vote came from the audience with the top 5 being put forward to the judges who were to pick 2 bands to go forward to the national finals.
With the audience vote won with a majority of more than 150 over the nearest rival, the judges verdict was nervously anticipated!
The judges, in their infinate wisdom, did not pick Satori for the national finals!
The 2 chosen bands were already on the books of the judges!
Make up your own mind................
In November of 2006, Steve Withe left the band by mutual agreement and Dean Lomas made the leap from drums to lead vocals and frontman of the band.
The search began for a new drummer and after several auditions Carl Garfield was announced as the new stick man for Satori.
Shortly after the band were back in the studio to record a second album titled Tomahawk Bank Holiday.
This was completed and released to the masses in January 2007.
Currently the band are looking for gigs around the greater Birmingham area aided by manager Trevor Baker, news of these gigs will be announced on this site first! Pursuit of top record producers will also be made in an attempt to not only get the demo heard by the right people but also to get the band that so far elusive record deal. ***watch this space***
